The Department of Computer Science, Central University of Kerala conducted skill development programme on cybersecurity Tools and strategies: from threats to defences by Prof. S. D. Madhu Kumar, Professor from NIT Calicut on 30th January 2026. Another skill development programme on Quantum Computing: theory to simulation was conducted on the same date by Prof. Priya Chandran from NIT Calicut. These programmes were inaugurated by Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. Siddu P. Algur. Prof. A. Sakthivel, Dean, School of Physical Sciences gave felicitation address. Prof. Jayasudha J. S., Professor and Head (Computer Science) welcomed dignitaries, experts and participants. She also introduced the events to be conducted as part of pre-summit activities of AI summit. Prof. Rajesh R., Professor (Computer Science) expressed the gratitude for all the participants and resource persons who helped to launch the programmes a great success.
As part of the pre-summit activities of AI summit of Central Government two workshops were organized by the Department of Computer Science in Central University of Kerala. Workshop on Industry Read Application Development using AI tools was conducted on 9th February 2026. Mr. Bismillakhan S., Team Lead from Innovature Labs and Mrs. Roshna N., UI Developer from SwarmLens Private Limited were the resource persons. The workshop on Frontiers of Generative AI was inaugurated on 11th February 2026. The workshop is scheduled to be conducted for 5 days from 11th February 2026. S. Sreekanth, Associate Professor, Kannur University, Dr. Lajish V. L., Associate Professor, University of Calicut are the resource persons.
Dr. Deepthi K., Associate Professor, Dr. Thasleema T. M., Asst. Professor, Dr. Kumar V., Asst. Professor, Dr. Manohar Nailk, Asst. Professor and Dr. Adithya V., Asst. Professor were helped to conduct all the programmes smoothly and make the events a grant success. The active participation from undergraduate students, postgraduate students, research scholars, and participants from other colleges and universities witnessed the success of these programmes in Central University of Kerala.
